Full or Half Share in a 1974 Mooney M20F

Incredibly well equipped with a 351 SMOH engine and the latest avionics

Hangared at Smiths Falls Montague Airport - CYSH

This IFR certified airplane is fast and fuel efficient burning 8.3 GPH at a 140 kt cruise with Gami Injectors, traveling about 28% further on a gallon of fuel than a Piper Cub J-3 burning 5.0 gph. Added inflight oxygen and an 18,000' ceiling makes this a perfect cross country machine.

New Avionics and Equipment
In 2013 new flight and avionics equipment was installed in C-GLDK. Descriptions of the current installations follow.

S-Tec 60-2 Autopilot
This top of the line autopilot, with refurbished servos in August 2013, is part of a fully integrated avionics system. The S-Tec 60-2 provides heading, attitude hold, glideslope capture and vertical speed control. Transition between GPSS autopilot control and pilot operated heading bug steering is just the press of a button.

The autopilot provides smooth localizer and glideslope capture with all types of IFR approaches.

The S-Tec 60-2 is fully integrated with the airplane's Aspen Pro 1000 EFD, the Garmin GTN 750 and the Garmin GNS 430w described below.

.

The Garmin GTN 750 and GNS 430w provide integrated flight control to the S-Tec 60-2 autopilot through the Aspen Pro 1000 EFD, as well a vast amount of essential information for the pilot.

Garmin GTN 750
"The New Garmin GTN 750 is the most preferred, feature rich, and quality GPS/NAV/COMM multifunction display systems. With features such as graphical flight planning, terrain mapping, air traffic viewing, detailed geo-referenced charting, satellite weather reporting and tons more this system is perfect for any aircraft."

Garmin GNS 430w
Until the recent introduction of the GTN 750, the Garmin GNS 430w was the most popular available GPS/NAV/COMM for private ariplanes. The WAAS capable GNS 430w provides back-up for the GTN 750, an alternate NAV/COMM radio and additional flight information for the pilot.

Like the 750, the 430w is integrated with the S-Tec 60-2 autopilot to provide GPS/ILS/VOR/LOC and glideslope control. Changing from 750 to 430w autopilot guidance is just the touch of a button on the Aspen Pro 1000. The 430w is integrated with the Aspen autopilot guidance. In addition a new Garmin GI 106A deviation indicator has been installed for VOR approach and navigation guidance independent of the Aspen Pro 1000 and the GTN 750.

The UBG-16 Engine Analyser and the FS-450 Fuel Computer installed in C-GLDK monitor fuel flow, fuel remaining, mixture leaning and engine performance.

Weather Avoidance in C-GLDK
The weather photo on the left is of a zoomed-in image on the GTN 750 weather page in C-GLDK during a flight. Weather and other information to ATC is provided by the dual frequency GDL-88 ADS-B data link installed in C-GLDK.

Additional useful adverse weather warning is provided by the lightening strike WX-8 Stormscope detector installed in the airplane.
